Self Knowledge and self acceptance are the keys to a peaceful life...Maybe. A Memeory of an old girl friend.
She is up early.
When I wander
Into the kitchen
I find her out
In the backyard
On all fours
Scrounging
Through the grass
Underneath
The balcony
From which,
Last night,
In the throes
Of some
High minded
Delusion,
With much
Moralistic,
Pontification,
She had thrown
The last of
Her pot.
Emptying the baggie
Into the wind.
With an air
Of righteous
Triumph.
It takes her
Twenty minutes
To round up
Enough for a joint.
I make her a cup of coffee
And say nothing.
A good nights sleep
Clarifies
Any situation.
