The cat

Moving swiftly on the floor
While chasing its prey,
With eyes wide open, whiskers swerving,
Ears standing still;
Surprisingly frolicking its victim
In the mid summer's day.
I wonder if the cat would really
Dare to go for a kill.

I'm a cat person so the title grabbed me.
