The dried rose
When they finally met
fated to meet as they were
none of them had unkissed lips
thats how things go these days
She new more than needed about all his
former ladies
and he knew painfully too much
about her previous and maybe major love in life
One day
by way of commemoration
of the day they firstly joined
he bought her a vaseful of roses
Oh she said
its been a long time someone
gave me a rose
I know he said
the latest one lies pressed
in a book your lover wrote
and signed for you with heart on fire
she did not
press one of the bunch I gave her
