Identity
An intellectual beautysystems and structures of logic and rationalizations,
telling of realizations of the world and the people within it
he'd rather she'd stayed within that self-definition
A gushing, blushing sweetie
heart throbbing at sunsets, gentle kindnesses, warm hearts
and moved in empathy at the pains of others
but beneath the blushes and gushes she proves him wrong
A cold and unnerving enigma
the definition most don't go to
more telling of the onlooker than the looked upon
But no matter what her self-understanding may be
the real truth is
Neither she nor any other really knows what her identity is
and she don't need identity anyway
