just colors

black, red, and white

Anger becomes me:
The carotids severed-
My skull a bowel
Of black scabs
And all the coagulated beauties.
Black is the color of anger

Much in the way red
Is the color of the dull ache
Of the pupated heart
Clipped of wings;
The spurt of blood
At the end of the knife.

White is the Will
Of Head and Heart.

It is so easily stained.
