realisation
And may be so to the last,
What once had an elegant entree,
Is now with that pauper, the past.
For those whom I rued to revere,
Sought but to betray by embrace -
How cunningly came the nadir -
And so may their day of disgrace.
Their vulgar hearts beat ever darkly,
And their strength is but glittering chic,
But a precious truth appears starkly:
How dangerous are the weak!

wisdom for love
Though folly has long been my forte,And may be so to the last,
What once had an elegant entree,
Is now with that pauper, the past.
For those whom I rued to revere,
Sought but to betray by embrace -
How cunningly came the nadir -
And so may their day of disgrace.
Their vulgar hearts beat ever darkly,
And their strength is but glittering chic,
But a precious truth appears starkly:
How dangerous are the weak!
