Hi. How have you been? It been quite a while since I last visited Poetbay. I was just settling down. However, I am back again.
[Some of the things that most people including me, find difficult to understand are: Life, Love and Heart. I have just tried putting things together and making sense. I don't know how far I have succeeded. Maybe in the end, all are just words... LOL.]
It was a lovely day
It was a lovely evening
The storm was over and the sky was blue
The breeze that blew through my hair
Felt warm and sweet
And you held my hands and said,
"Life is beautiful"
Maybe I had never thought much about it
Maybe I had no clue where we were going
But then, my life stood still for a while
And my heart got lost in your smile
I look back to the days when we first met
Playfully teasing each other with words and eyes
And the millions of ways we found to be with each other
Though it took a million lies
Maybe it was just a fling
Or maybe it was a rebound
Or maybe it was a hope to find
Someone with whom one can be forever happy
I remember your hug and your strong arms around me
And I remember the mad beating your heart
I loved the way you gently caressed my shoulders
And I secretly hoped we may never have to part
I loved the way we were happy
Without even trying hard
And I loved the way we were a world to ourselves
Carefree like a newborn pony
I loved waking up by your side
And looking at your happy and peaceful face
I thought "Life indeed is beautiful"
But maybe, I had forgotten that things do change
It was a lovely day
It was a lovely evening
Tiny raindrops were still playing after the heavy showers
The air felt fresh and the night seemed clear
You smiled and said, "I don't want this life"
Maybe I had never thought much about it
Maybe I had no clue where we were going
But then, my life stood still for a while
And with a silent crack my heart and hopes shattered and dissolved in your smile.
