...what was I thining...?

Speed of light

It's always up and coming
this unknown spirit that tears me away
in a whirlwind of nothing and less
up and up and down again and -

I could have sworn I saw a light
in the end of a tunnel,
if there only was a tunnel here

or was it a strike of thunder
roaring through your lands?

You go so fast
faster than me and I wish you would
- wait up! -
a second or maybe two
you go at the speed of light

and that is what you are
you are, what are you to me?
A light not yet put out
but a million years away
your warmth,

I have only a shadow

You go at the speed of light
away and towards
I tremble,
because then you are close
my wings are burning

but the dark flows faster
than you could ever
and tears me away
in the arms
of a
whirlwind.
