Will you miss me?

After the long silent days...for me,
not for you, never for you.
After the endless agonizing footsteps,
and after the last drops of tears,
unable to go on,
will you miss me?

You there, in your ivory tower,
basking in the comfort I once used to enjoy too,
pampered and surrounded by smiles and happiness.
And I, here, nowhere and nobody,
wandering the empty streets, an empty life,
existing on the memories I have on you,
a shattered soul now, unkempt and bleak,
yet moving on like a shadow of something that used to be,
existing but not living anymore.

Still I wonder if you miss me,
do u miss my laughter
and carefree banter?
I miss them as I never hear them anymore,
and I never will henceforth.
I wonder what happened to my life,
gone from everything to nothing,
always giving so much of myself,
yet having had everything robbed of me.

I wonder where I will go now,
no place to go, no place to be, no me anymore.
Just somebody unwanted on the streets,
an eyesore to those who live in that tower,
just treading on this path to no end.
