WASTE OF TIME

Walking down this line.
This pity line of crime.
This pity life of mine.
It's such a waste of time.

Satisfy with not a thing.
Living in prosperity.
Let's see what life will bring.
Giving life charity.

Collecting things until you drown.
And to what use?
Buy a smile to that ugly frown.
And then you lose.

Enjoy the beauty while it lasts.
Not for very long.
Life is ticking awfully fast.
End of song.

"Collecting things until you drown.

This is a The stanza of the poem!
I think, the crux of it!
As always beautiful poem, a little deviation from your style too. But, then every time you come back, you always come up with something new Dan!

This is cool. Like a Johnny Cash song you think so much deeper than the words. Like " Ring Of Fire " or " I walk The Line ". Great poem.
