butterfly
the microscopic eggadheres to the leaf
constantly becoming
the crawling caterpillar
eating non-stop
shredding skin
the transitional chrysalis
suspended beneath a branch
replicating cells
metamorphosis
the glorious butterfly
takes to the sky
a new perspective on the world
would it change back if it could
like the crying lazarus
longing for the death he was denied
