plants

already the slow silent strength
is pushing upward
towards the light
moving earth and asphalt
cracking concrete
remorseless tendrils
reclaiming the cities

mankind has come and gone
a tiny meaningless event
in the history of the world

I've always wondered, his time of year,at the energy that in being released underground in my garden The awakening, the gathering of a fore tha is as predictable as the sun. And as governed by it. You bring all those thoughts out strongly bin your piece. Every line ina metaphor or energy and strength.

The damage we do to the earth, though not to each other, will eventually be undone, much of it healed . . . we won't be around to see it then, as you do now, taking and giving a kind of comfort in it.
