Insomnia scribbled

Darkness Gathered

It was late the darkness gathered fast
Tying sighing curtains to the winds ominous drone
Rivers ran wild as deepest blues sang in your rippling hair,
Freedom bought and sold the die was cast
Your life contained within a cellular telephone
Elation in a bottle clutched by fingers of despair

Melancholy signals bounced up and down
Lost in the shadows of freshly painted beasts
With brazen wings and faces which held no peace
An unholy word like some inverse noun

Closed all ears hidden hands seeing eyes unseen
Watch the lines trespass before the past
Shudders in its grave to know just what has been
Behind the gate, darkness gathered fast.

Commentally Ill
more about elation in a bottle, please, and less about the gathering darkness.

oh, i know it's there. i just like to ignore it and hope it'll go away.

if insomnia scribbled this, i'd like to see what it can do when it actually tries. ;)
