Pointy Side Up/Down

Ask Alice what the point is about
On the pointy side of the eggs
Some creatures live for luxuries
Whilst others grovel in the dregs
Some people work to keep everything close
Others carelessly throw other peoples work away
Alice doesn't know why people throw eggshells at a train
When the wind blows sideways for sometimes and sometimes a pain
To find all the missing puzzle pieces the wonder never ceases
Stitching pictures of the helpless and heaven singing come home
Onto the palms swaying flamingo dances on her hands
Alice sometimes sleeps away the day just where she stands
She runs right into you with the answers
Yet somehow the question remains and begs
Ask Alice what the point is about
On the pointy side of eggs...

All at BBP pause to enjoy this musing, my friend :>)
I am drawn to the character of Alice, her careful careless puzzlings. As to the eggs, this may be for the hens to explain. Alternatively, it is an issue of etiquette, for the likes of Mrs Beeton.
Applause!

Where is the pointy side on a egg? Perhaps it's on the inside somewhere...
