Suzzy
I was out at the mall when I first met Suzzy,And she soon devined that I had no flights of fancy.
She said I looked like I had just seen the devil,
I suppose how I looked at her was not exactly civil.
Some things are beyond us to orchestrate,
So she said when she asked me out on a date.
We stopped by the florist so I may buy her a flower,
"Would you get between me and my roots?", she asked in wonder.
She said something about letting me into her circle of friends,
Only ours will be held together by much stronger strands.
I often thought I would kiss her under the mistletoe,
I loved her in spite of the fact she once stepped on my toes.
I can still clearly remember the first fight we had,
And I am glad it was resolved by the time we went to bed.
