latin dictionaries and coffee houses in new york city
i dream of latin dictionaries(derived from the ever noble oxford)
and reciting verbose verse
in coffee houses in new york city,
the aroma of roasted coffee beans
and the mule-like sound of esspreso machines
as the habitues order their usual beverages
starving artist: observations of a man on a bus in shorts carrying a bible on his lap -
i wonder if he was molested as a child?
perhaps by a priest with sandal clad feet?
his body language communicates discomfort:
shame and anxiety
exposed knees, leg hair and a downcast gaze
