The Hidden Star
Searching for the infinite
Reaching for the stars
Reading the inscriptions
Written on whiskey jars
Parasail over the oceans
Flights full of failing dreams
Alight upon the island
Of sirens and their screams
Pardon my indescritions
Excuse my faltering muse
Personal transgressions
Are all I have to lose
Knelling on the alter
Of regret and solace ease
Help me to connect these
Dots of puzzles, please
All I have to offer
Is the person who I am
This simple vessel of confession
Is laid bare without a lamb
Secrets of this silent ship
Sailing across life's seas
Without the compass of direction
Adrift in murky seas
Look inside the carnal shell
And find the pearl of who you are
I am the mirror of the soul
The flame of your hidden star
