Sometimes I Hold the Light
Sometimes I hold the lightSometimes the light holds me.
Sometimes I am the lighthouse
a shining beacon of hope
throwing out the lifeline
pulling on the rope
Sometimes I am the wayward ship
tossing in turbulent seas.
Without a captain at the helm,
no one hears my pleas.
Sometimes I am the raging sea
pounding the rocky shore.
Changing the boulders to pebbles
Hear my mighty roar!
Sometimes I am the moon
controlling the ocean's tide
silently, eternally watching
among the stars abide.
Sometimes I am the sun
giving the moon its light.
Sharing myself in darkness
invisible in the night.
Sometimes I hold the light
Sometimes the light holds me.
