A secret (bypass) is meant to protect the fragile truth from the land of ignorance. If the knowledge of your secret worsens your quality of life, changes your view of humanity, creates a distortion field within you that indiscriminately expands even reaching those around you then yes you are the ignorant one and truth must be protected from you.
