Objects in the Mirror

Woke up this morning.......
And stumbled out of bed.
with a headache and a trifle shiver.

I glanced at the Mirror,
You were there...staring back at me.
Those lovely eyes exploring the depths of my soul.

You were beautiful...an angel standing by my side
Your sweet magic expanding my life,
Into timeless moments.

Those arms wrapped around my torso,
Your short bursts of breath tease my hair,
Your lips so close to mine...

The blanket slips away,
Like an ice cube slowly down your spine.
And you shiver, like its snowfall in the end of may.

The wind rushes in, Blowing apart the windows in its sway,
Letting the summer sun through,
I turn to face you....but somehow you've faded away.

Puzzled expression, I turn back to the mirror,
But theres no sign of the one I held so dear.
Except an Inscription that read...

" Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear ".

The ending line is one I used in a series of poems as well. I love the metaphors and images in this.
