Death's Triumph
Hush now, away to sleepEmbrace your family in the deep
taste the air
one last time
Sweet and fresh
on the flesh
see the colours
fade away
the final sun
has dawned today
hear the cries
muffled, soft
hear the voices
tender, light
One last moment
One last fight
your heart, your clock, your sands of time
collide, conclude and now they're mine
Here rest a while, you must be tired
I'll wrap you in my cloak so soft
then tie you tight with mortal coil
and spirit you away.
Lay thee down inside a crib and
Rest in peace forevermore
Until you hear the bloated shore
of souls that beat upon your bed
to creep awake into your head.
to call you up out of the ground
to pull you down out from the sky.
So all of you can rise again
Life's dominion, my domain
When all is said and all is done
When all are dead there's only one
and so I will go on and on
and on and on and on and on...
but now you see, there's time yet still
Life has not yet had it's fill..
so..
Hush now away to sleep
Embrace your family in the deep.
