WHEN RAINBOWS COLLIDE

With my sails set half-mast
Supine to the purple horizon
Searching skyward in hope
Life braids our yellow ribbon

Pit stops and double shots
Delayed potential victorious
Turkish taffy for the curious
Pulling moons, rising tides

When rainbows collide
Oh amber girl with freckles
Pecan nuts entertain caramel

I collide
She collides
It thumbs a ride
When rainbows collide

She feeds my chocolate steed
Hummm when luck decides
She pulls me over
When rainbows collide

Wolf-howls in the afternoon
Barking to lick my silver spoon
Fast foods ready to drive through
Life braids our yellow ribbon

Pit stops and double shots
Delayed potential victorious
Turkish taffy for the curious
Pulling moons, rising tides

When rainbows collide
Full-figured girls that tickle
Pecan nuts entertain caramel

I collide
She collides
It thumbs a ride
When rainbows collide

Graphic and beautiful metaphors throughout. A beautiful rhythm to follow.
