THOUGHT YOU WERE MY ONLY LOVER
For weeks at a time, steady paceNight after night, no hurry, no trace
Plenty change of clothes in the closet
Even had mail to this address, oh boy
Three watches playin' seven rings
Chains made of gold, yellow and white
Your personal tailor remained on call
All ya had to do was sign the lease
Thought you were my only lover
Out in the open, slept from under the cover
Your cell phone free to my inspection
You didn't hesitate when I asked a question
Thought you were my only lover
Took a vacation lasting thirty days
Sun tanning and sipping cold spirits
You never made mention of your past
A man with class my candy apple too
Four cars harbouring lengthily cruisers
Baby if love called would you answer
Showered with gifts and your presence
From bed to chess board I can't resist
Thought you were my only lover
Out in the open, slept from under the cover
Your cell phone free to my inspection
You didn't hesitate when I asked a question
Thought you were my only lover
Thought you were
Thought you were my only lover
Really thought you were
Baby I really did
Thought you were my only lover
Really thought you were
Coulda fooled the hell out of me
Thought you were my only lover
