sweet duration of day's light

sweet duration of day's light
induced enhancement
eyes that drink in greenhouses

further and further he said
waving his ballot
to the embarrassment
of his constituency

illusion is being
impossible dreams
that flood the scene
with words like wind

there is an old tree
standing tall
in the fall of years

there are all kinds
of no more
flooding the gates
of existence

I agree with the last stanza. A superb poem.

Timely, as we near the year's longest day. I like the final stanza above all!
