AWAKE AND AFRAID
I hate you for leaving meThe rain and cold nights
Forty eight hour days babe
Yeah, okay have it your way
The fragrance from your shirt lingers
I read the partial love letter you left
Fear is having a ball at my expense
Breathing is fine if there's nothing to say
Crying and hoping, all kind of noise
Awake and afraid I pace the floor
Can't stand the thought of you
Summer days as lovers hold hands
You're not here to reassure my doubt
I'm going shopping and paint the town
I wear your cologne needing you here
Cleaned house over and over waiting
Spoke to you only once since yesterday
Breathing is fine if there's nothing to say
Crying and hoping, all kind of noise
Awake and afraid I pace the floor
I hate you for leaving me
The rain and cold nights
Forty eight hour days babe
Yeah, okay have it your way
So remember I hate you
Oh yeah how much I do
I hate you for leaving me
But in reality glad you're gone
