chorale nights of blue yesterday
flying floating a stream a dream
king size seconds struggling for air

the band kept on playing
sealed in a few more minutes
burning softly and fierce

I saw tick tocking days
asleep in a thousand mirrors
eyes that wept for more

cavernous nights of no recall
sleep talks all day
in time to say goodbye
