Futuristic Smiles
I think I saw your smilereflected in that rather
dingy shop,
you know the one,
or has it closed?
Anyhow between
the drapes and
the cobwebs
I saw that wink,
the one I kicked
you for and you
spun me round
and even though
it was raining
and I hadn't an umbrella
you held me
so tight
and we kissed
eyelashes
splashing
we didn't notice
and afterwards
we walked
holding hands
as I caught teardrops
from dripping hair.
I don't really
miss the kisses
the hand in the
small of my back,
I miss the us of us
and futuristic smiles
that never came
to fruition
