Memories; definition of devotion

I believe in memories
In you and myself,
An unforgotten past,
The futures hidden mysteries
The deep association with yesterday
Part of a game all lovers play,
Silently understanding the meaning of devotion
To find and seek the faintness
Of the whispering wind,
A secret to the ear,
Or a wave upon a moonlit shore,
Two desolate figures
Knowing they care
A gentle silent truth
Facing reality, an attempt to cope.
Can two lovers hear
What words foretell to those who fear
A single drop from the eye.
It is a tear
And in that gentle drop
Each lover knows
Today holds tomorrow's hopes.
I believe in memories
In you and myself.

As long as someone remembers, the memories remain alive. Your poem is beautiful.
