buried with Pharaoh

I am dust that fell
in Giza inside one
of three pyramids

I watched as Khafre's sarcophagus
was carried through the grand
gallery to burial chamber ~ 2532 BC

many who carried stayed
sealed were all passages
no way out

it is quiet here
even for dust such as I
lying on smooth limestone floor

painted walls of many colours
now but a memory
in darkness

yesterday it seems
-- 4,546 years lying in blackness
buried with Pharaoh.

Sealed tombs, Pharaohs, treasures. Who says history is not as interesting as fiction! Nice atmospheric tone. Good work.
