My cousin and her fiancee have been trying to conceive for 10 years,
last Thursday the stork delivered, or God, or themselves, choose your idol, but here is my spontaneous poem written just minutes after hearing the good news on the telephone ...
To give life from above
from a womb
out of a thought,
from the love between two
Yesterday came a kid from upstairs
looking like an angel
dirty as a traveler
far away from home
here at bay
Baby, kid, great, great
what words will you know
that first steps
your mother is looking at you
the first to say yes!
to you
your father right behind
eager to lift you up to the skies
loving you for who you are
the kid,
right here
right now
for ever more
