if there was no death

If there was no death
Of course there would be no birth
For there would be no reason for any
No children crying
no seeds to disperse
No fruit to eat
Would we need to eat at all ?
Would we grow old ?
Fall sick ?
A group of people living together for eternity
No male female
You would not need reproduction
No one would retire from anything
You would forever stay at the same spot
In the pecking order
If there was one
How would we punish the evil ?
And what would evil do ?
Imagine a plane crash
And people just getting up and walking away
Bodies healing themselves
No need for doctors in the world
No one would follow rules
No one would work at all
No roads built, no houses made
We would live with nature
In a very large world
No travel infact
What would we do in such a world
Living endlessly in ennui
With no escape
Is this a glimpse of heaven ?
Then I do hope that it's just a cruel joke
And death is what makes life alive

This certainly brings up a lot of possibilities, doesn't it?
If there were no death, would there be a need for religion?
Most religions are based on an afterlife after death.
Would we all look old, or would there be people of all ages?
No children?
It all sounds very dull in spite of our dislike for death.
Very well done.

Yes, in spite of his bad reputation, even the grim reaper has his purposes. Very thought-provoking and interesting.
