Return of the Sun

The sea water's churning, beach sand is turning
A storm is brewing out to sea.
Groceries being hoarded, windows being boarded.
Getting prepared for what may be.

Hurricane season, just the price you pay.
For life on the beach, day after day.
The wind and the rain and the storm surges come
Then life is a beach with the return of the sun.

Evacuations can ruin vacations.
Nature is a mother sometimes.
Those who are prepared are often less scared
When hurricane flags start to fly

Hurricane season, just the price you pay.
For life on the beach, day after day.
The wind and the rain and the storm surges come
Then life is a beach with the return of the sun.

Living in paradise, at least in my eyes,
Is well worth the risk to me.
Life on this island always has me smiling,
There's nothing like life by the sea.

Hurricane season, just the price you pay.
For life on the beach, day after day.
The wind and the rain and the storm surges come
Then life is a beach with the return of the sun.
