Today morning
Let's believe in miracles again as when we were kids.
They waved at me
As they waved at all the passing cars
Tiny hands and tiny smiles
I smiled
I waved back
And it was a miracle.
The tiny smiles broadened into peals of joy
Their eyes sparkled
As if I had performed a magic trick
I realized the kids had seen an adult smile
A thing that's become so rare these days
And it was a miracle.
