Seven Seconds of Sin

Seven Seconds of sin,
A single glance and a helpless 'give in'.
A costly mistake and behold....
The goddamn devil took my soul.

There she was...a lucky roll of the dice,
Like a hundred year old wine put on ice.
Sophisticated mind and scantily clad,
in a piece of fiber that was driving me mad.

Shining like a constellation in the twilight sky,
A stunning presence that makes the mind go awry.
She cast an eye on me with descending grace,
The princess put the pauper in his place.

Me, her and the cursed twilight...
All together...all alone.
And in a mad dash,
I rushed and caught...

Nay, I caught not Ophelia's cold hand in her dark grave...
But a running omnibus to a happier place.

Even in your darkest writings you can still bring light of daytime. Sometimes when I look into the tunnel all I see is a light from a freight train. Geat write.
