Gravity
You were there, shining brightlyI couldn't reach you, couldn't touch
your tears, feel the vein pulse
while you covered my body
with yours, tasting salt and honey.
I reached, touched my fingers
traced the trajectory, as if I
was a cartologist, making routes
our highways and byways,
learning, leaning, loving you.
I took a star, it burnt
reminding me of how we fit,
splitting me apart,
filling me, completing me,
I just watch in wonderment.
Please kiss that place,
talk about life on Mars
plot the legends
lend me your heart
and I will float to you
as you ground my gravity.
