Um ... near death experience? (part II)

If you have a damaged optic nerve meaning you are blind You see a bright light all the time and not live in the dark as one would assume. People say that when you have a near death experience you should not follow the light! Does that mean that you slowly become blind in the one eye and with that one eye you see the bright light like the person with a damaged optic nerve and with the other eye you can see the darkness? ... and if you say to your brain do not cut the function of my remaining seeing eye yet You give yourself more time and you might be rescued?

Interesting thoughts. Though the perception of light in those blind or not conscious is probably synapses firing and not actual sight. But who knows?

I don't believe the "light" theory of near death experience cos I've been there twice and it didn't happen.
Something else did tho' which banished all fear of death and in fact meant something very exciting and way beyond anything that would be "expected"or even could be thought up!
I'm also cheered to hear that blind people are not in constant darkness.
