So Prudish

The young can be so prudish
as she holds a bone china tea cup,
'lemon please, no sugar'
they have no fun
and decadence is wonderful
as is a mature ladies
ashes to roses alure.

The young do like to censor so
she sighs, biting on a
biscuits pur buerre,
crumbs can be a nuisance
especially under the sheets at night.

She likes a well trimmed foot,
and greets everyone from the doorman
to the rather snooty man
in the apartment above, the same

The young, can be so prudish
she laughs with the merriment
still evident in her eyes
that shine and wickedness
is so sublime,
the young would never understand.

Nice! After reading this, I realized that wickedness is a characteristic of only older people. Youngsters can be nasty, but not genuinely wicked. They don't have the depth. After reading Pony's comment, I thought, "Yes, I can see Bette Davis saying these things."

Very nice. There was a time when the old were prudish. But now it seems that the young do not know how to live a life of wonderful individualism.

i like movies from the thirties and forties. the women, some of them, have a way about themselves, a look in the eye that says *i know*

your woman *knows*
i want to *know*
