Poet bay is a part of my life like a relative sitting at the dinner table. One forgets to be grateful for the efforts of altruistic individuals that reach out beyond just their dreams to create something real and worthwhile for humanity. I can only contribute poems at this time but am vowing to donate money to the cause whenever my turbulent life settles down.

When I stumbled across the Bay, I felt compelled to stay a while. That while is now a little over 9 years ago! So congratulations and a big THANK YOU, to you the team, for your commitment and dedication to the manner in which you have maintained this unique place called the Bay.

The Bay and all the writers who bring colour and life to its pages have brought me a great deal of pleasure, so may it continue to shine its light into the cold expanse of cyberspace for another 10 years and beyond. :-)

In the former, pioneering days my account was #37, invited by its founder; he had used the first five or so accounts. It was a wild time, launching out into mostly uncharted online poetry waters. Good memories, fun times.

ten years already? times seems to move as water seeps through fingers at times... i first joined back in '06, under my original account. became inactive once or twice, but always find myself coming back! i've been on a few other sites, but always seem to get bored of them. poetbay is the only one i ever truly miss!

always glad to see familiar "faces" (names on the screen), and eager to welcome the new comers, of course!

Is it really? Wow, I joined initially when it first started and then took a break for a bit and rejoined some months later - I miss some of the characters and some not so much - it has been an interesting journey - I miss some of the spice from the old days but appreciate that we need safe places to write and protection from diverse characters - so well done Poetbay and I raise a glass to the next 10 years.

I've been here for only half of those ten years and wish I had been from the beginning; they have been by far the most exciting and satisfying and stimulating and enjoyable five years of my writing life. The culture that you created is in my experience unique and that it endures is a wonderful testament to you, and to all of us as well who are so grateful for it.

Nowhere else is the dignity and creativity of writers as valued and as encouraged as on ths site. You three are to be congratulated!
