solemnity is a charred ego past

solemnity is a charred ego past
fuming like a serpent settlement
in the annals of the sacred

I hear tonalities of the old ways
soaring through the greens
while walking in slow spring

nailed burned and shot
is all the frosty darkness
history can muster

the harbingers of adoration
still fuzz in winds and streams
where heart is one

suddenness is more of the same
when the grey afternoon slur
rolls into big toothless thunder

darkness meets darkness
sinister ominous and dead
as adore you sits at the table

there are no buoyant truths
beneath the cherry tree
nor in the coming of rain

muster your skills and dance
there are mires moving
there is staleness in your way

the children could not see
the dead could not talk
the war raged until the end

A meaningful stroll through history and country . With all the senses taking in the elements. Extremely well written.
