At A Remove

When the darkness masquerades as light
When there is nothing more to prove
When blindness rules like a second sight
When all shall live at a remove

When a beast shall rise up from the mass
Proclaiming freedom's gift for all
Tinsel champion of the underclass
With lies as ancient as "The Fall"

When the fate of a world hangs in balance precarious
And all the wisdom put forth is all false and various
Mockeries of light divine blaring garish leprous ruse
What presents as sense pretense is but designed to confuse

When all shall live at a remove
When blindness rules like a second sight
When there is nothing more to prove
When the darkness maquerades as light

Åsa Andersson
Very ominous and yeatsean. (Is that a word?)

Excellently crafted. I love it!
