temptation's pages

temptation's pages

temptation's pages fall
from book
of faltering
-- enticements

hitting polished
--floor
in mansion
of unrest

finalizing their
piqued brevity
a -- brief breeze
blows

lifting page's dust
out the window
-- devoured as they
fly by time's own maw

it's quiet now
by life's standard
-- of what will happen
next

new temptations
written on pages
in mind's eye
lurk round corners drear

it's a coloured world
of black and white
and all shades
of grey

tempted by light
of come
what
may.
