Ever been here? It's a place of torment. A writer's Hell.

Aphasia

pounding words
thrashing
at my brain.
screaming for a doorway
a portal of destiny
leading to understanding

aphasia.

comprehension's death
communication debacle

system down

with paralyzed potential
I wait....

aphasia

This aphasia became meta though. It actually never captured you.. !
An inspiration .

This was an excellent poem, short, simple and very effective. It's one of the worst feelings to have so many things to say, but to be unable to communicate in a way to make others understand.

Yeah, dear Kathy,
That feeling is so familiar:
Like forgetting every word
Of what you have read
In the examination hall.
Like forgetting every well rehearsed line
Of the confessions of your heart,
in front of your beloved.
Like sudennly becoming speechless
In front of an audience,
while standing up to speak
On a subject you know by heart...

Yes, we all know that feeling so well!

((((Hugs Kathy dear for a wonderful write))))

Love, xxx, Zoya
