there is a charming
halo of madness
around those who choose
to live in Norrland

the winters are murderous
the summers are glorious
almost nothing
in between

a snowy mile uphill
from 'Snuffe's Kingdom'
in the kitchen of 'The End of the World'
two acoustic guitars

'You Gonna' Miss Me, One of these Days'

"Guys...you swing."
a spontaneous verbal expression
of the joy that Jazz can bring

a simple banal phrase
can change
the way one hooks on music
and the way one sees oneself

odd
innit

Now that is one helluva picture. So blue! and somehow very peaceful looking. Is Norrland Norway? Makes me want to book a ticket to there now. Oh, and the poem is excellent too.

You almost make me like winter with the beautiful and nostalgic memories you bring. I have lived in such places, but the imagery on this poem is outstanding. You take the reader there and I could hear the jazz. Simply beautiful!!
