Resilience
I'll tuck myselfinto myself
because your bed
is no longer
my security blanket
and your arms
cannot encircle
my sense of self.
I'll tuck myself
into myself
because I created
my own warmth
when you iced over
and morning frost
cannot freeze
my bony core.
I'll tuck myself
into myself
because I am
resilient
and you are
cracked.
