wish upon a bright sky

wish upon a bright sky folding tonight
for solitude and a cohort so in love
with matter bending perceptions of light
that there is no more aiming for I above

all lost I's that find ways into saying so
break on shores of short here times done
grabbing the long of it by the silent row
dying for brim stone dimes of the old sun

tell me brotherly one in silence told
what is the meaning of nothing in all
when borders burn and legacies fold
when the one and only is but a distant call

serenity is a luxury paid for in lost time
guiles of cruel savoury in tents is the price
wanton seals on every other day I in crime
selling deeds by the rolling of the fickle dice

reset yell look for the bathroom doors
where the whole house tilts to the west
and I and the other I loves and settle scores
before putting waking hours to a final rest

A very nice piece. I love the statement "serenity is a luxury paid for in lost time". It is so true.
