but flames in my eyes
are being doused
by the rivers
diminishing into rivulets
damned by the past
a catching up
and of breath
holding fast
the days of hollow

Desolation and emptiness when the tears can no longer flow. Very nice.

Lawrence Beck The PoetBay support member heart!
Not the best days to hold onto, but sometimes one doesn't have a choice. Nicely written.

This quite brilliant. It is brief but contains all the feeling of pure sadness. I believe the fire refers to an inability to change a situation. Well done.

A poem which could be interpreted many ways, yet crystal clear in its images and passion. Good work.

these are amazing images put together in a totally unique way, images of nature, fire and water, and the catching of breath makes it real. this is a great poem.
