close reef sails

capricious soliloquy
mixed words traveling
their mercurial
-- path

nearly overturn
-- capsize
keel over
and -- tip

a bit to starboard
righting themselves
straight into
wind

salt spray's
refreshing sting
-- gale incoming
close reef sails

surrender 'til
dawn comes
stars hidden once more
our star so close to us

all is light
-- universe
billions of star lamps
burn on -- fiery furnaces

capricious soliloquy
capable clever
caress grey matter
carouse and careworn -- cargo

trivia's travails
horizon line
lines words
like burning snow in August.
