Loneliness

Decayed old bark of a tree
Hollow and empty crystal vase
Broken down ruins of a home that once was

Standing on the edge of life
Transparent in the midst of pleasant chaos
Unseen, unfelt

A bitter pill
A heavy, slow ache

Loneliness....the sums of its parts
The sum of its parts.......loneliness

This is a great piece. I love to look at old things and imagine the memories they may hold. And yes the sum of their parts now add up to loneliness.

It may seem like a pessimistic way of seeing the world, that this poem shows, but the underlying nature of this poem, as I see it, is a Zen kind of mind of the soul*

Has a kind of Taoist or Far Eastern tone to it. Your opening images of three tangible images representing loneliness are excellent.

Your images say it so well. Beautiful!
