A Yellow Rose
A yellow rose for my best friend ever.A pint of love for your care and consideration.
Here's to all the joy in the world,
And endless happiness,
Because I know you care.
A yellow rose for you, my dear;
My love for you shall never die.
Through thick and thin, we'll stick together,
Forever and after, I'll be here.
A petal lost, my sad, sorry friend.
That pull of smoke just cost you my respect.
Your staggering lack of sobreity brings me to tears...
I could have sworn that you were better than this.
A thorn in my heart, for me, such a fool...
You pulled away when I needed you most.
You sucked the nectar from my soul,
And left the poison to swallow me whole.
A noose for myself,
Such sweet pain to follow.
You never heard me when I screamed your name,
Now the time has come for an end without sorrow.
A Zinnia for the one I love most,
With pint of love,
And a hint of cyanide:
To remind you that although I tried to make it work,
You always tried that much harder.
A yellow rose for the one who deserves it all!
For the years you spent suffering more than everyone else,
For the times we shared that led to my pitiful downfall.
