The Winter Rose

Attention is turning

a fire is burning

Circles on water

are no more

Love is seen to be the true core

In brilliant stillness a song is heard

sung by a timeless hidden bird

In the midst of winter

a summer

sings

Very nice Nils. It is so good to hear birds in winter. It makes life normal for a while.

Thanks Nils - your work got me to thinking. Resulted in a work by me.

This ends beautifully Nils. Last week I brought in the last few roses, dried them and placed them in a vase that sits on my desk where they will be a small respite of color during winter's drabness.
